Committee Highlight: Mission
The Research Committee fosters enthusiasm and engagement for clinical inquiry among APGNN members. The committee members are available to assist membership with mentorship of EBP/QI/Research ideas and projects. An annual call for abstracts is sent to membership soliciting poster presentations for the annual APGNN educational meeting. Submitted abstracts for the annual meeting are evaluated by the Research Committee. Posters of distinction are identified in this process.
In partnership with the NASPGHAN Foundation, APGNN is able to offer its membership the opportunity to apply for the Susan Moyer Nursing Research Award. This award funds nursing EBP/QI/Research, up to $5,000, in areas of importance to Pediatric Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology Nursing. Mentorship and guidance for grant applicants is highly encouraged reach out to the committee chair.
If you would like to volunteer to serve on this committee, please contact the Chairperson: Sara Fidanza, MS, RN, CNS-BC, CPNP-PC
